Is the Iris like an Astrology Chart?

For models of earth-related circumstantial factors or situational predisposition, the annual scalar for the annular topographic aspect is most likely a good choice, worth testing for anyway. One test would be between the 360-day correlation and the 365.25-day correlation. With this time scale every year is represented by a trip around the iris. Certain harmonic patterns are to be expected at integral multiples of the base frequency.

If there is an annual correspondence between the annular iris and a persons life experience, the iris can be seen similar to an astrology chart, such as the Natal Wheel. In conventional charting (geocentric, tropical, placidus houses), the wheel refers to a 1 year interval divided into 12 houses (sectors). The wheel shows the positions of the planets and moon from a geocentric perspective of the time of birth. The 12-sector division of the sky into a zodiac is fixed relative the stars, and since the earth is spinning at 24 hours/cycle, the zodiac appears moving relative to the earth at this rate. The time of birth sets an angular offset of the zodiac relative the Ascendant. The east horizon at the time of birth is the Ascendant and marks the beginning of the first house (personality). The first house begins at 9:00 and extends about 1 hour counter clockwise, ending at 8:00, where the second house begins. The influence of the planets depends (in part) on which house they were in at the time of birth.

The primary pattern is the configuration of the relative angular positions (Aspects) of each celestial body. This configuration changes slowly as it rotates (along with the entire zodiac) through the 12 houses each 24 hour period.

An interesting feature is that the wheel starts at 9:00 and that it goes counter-clockwise.

The astrology model is rich with interrelationships and systematic symbolism. Ostensibly it has been derived from empirical study (as has iris analysis), but one does not know for certain how much of the theory is arbitrary. Other related models such as Ayurvedic astrology need to be considered for a more complete viewpoint.

Bjorn Tideland in Sweden has studied Astrological Iridology, and reported on it in 1993 at the Global Health Conference in St. George, Utah.

If there is an annual time scale, there may be found a zodiac correspondence and significance to the placement of jewels and flowers (color spots and lacunae).
