Iris stromal mast cell. In the limbus this
type of mast cell is more abundant than the one shown in Figure 6-16. This mast cell
is distinguished by the fact that many of its granules contain cylindrical structures
which are seen in longitudinal section (a) or in cross-section (b). A finely granular
