Aqueous fluid is produced by the ciliary body and exits via Schlemm's Canal at the iris angle at the rate of 2 microliters/minute. This fluid nourishes the avascular transparent media (cornea, lens, and vitreous) and pressurizes the globe with about 15mm Hg hydrostatic pressure.
